Taking The First Step

We all have goals, and an image of what we want our lives to get to. We want to lose weight, look better, and make it a habit to be healthy. But what does it actually take to get there?

The end result is always the fun part to think about, especially when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle.

Losing 10 or more lbs, being able to lift heavier weights, and going to a gym you love that will get you results are some of the more common 1st goals. But in order to get there, the 1st step has to be taken.


For a lot of people, it's easy to get motivated on a Thursday and think "Monday morning I'm getting started". Then the weekend happens, Monday comes and goes, and it's put on the back burner.

But that's not what's going to happen.

Here's what you need to do.

1. When motivation hits, make it a big deal. Tell your friends & family, tell your work, and write it down for yourself. If possible, drag one of those friends or family members with you. The more people to hold you accountable, the better!

2. Commit to a day right away. Don't wait for a week, or even just a few days to pass, because that will give you time to put it off. Commit to the first day you can, and stick with it.

Creating a healthier lifestyle can be a long journey with many rewards. We all have goals of where we want to get to, but we will never reach them if we don't start.
